The American Orthodox Christian Communion is part of the Independent Sacramental Movement. During the past few years, our community has experienced a dynamic growth. We have seen many inquiries about our work from people all over the world. Those who seek to join us in ministry find our spiritual and jurisdictional approach attractive. They appreciate that the church maintains a spirit of true fellowship and Christian love. We are less concerned with money, buildings, and temporal power. We celebrate our gifts and rejoice in each other's presence. Our clergy, experience a diverse range of situations: some lead communities, parishes, or religious orders. Others are active in such areas as chaplaincy, wedding and funeral ministry while some provide outreach ministries, counseling, scholarship, and workshops on aspects of spirituality.

Discerning a call to the priesthood or religious life can be challenging, but we are here to help.
If you are interested in learning more about the ordination or incardination process into our Communion, please contact us.
